Kimball pianos sometimes have the serial number in a hard-to-find place stamped on the back edge of the keybed. Many pianos will have a 4, 5 or 6 digit serial number to identify the age of the piano. Pianos also have other numbers printed on them such as part numbers and many other pianos do not have a serial number at all. Many piano manufacturers placed serial numbers in a variety of places. The number may be stamped under the piano. Look along the inside plate holes or it may be in one of the circles stamped into the soundboard. Look in front of the soundboard in either corner. Open the lid and look above the keyboard area. Where is the serial number on baby grand?
